In “AREYOUARE,” a performer appears in a room full of robots - and none of them behave as expected. Three robotic vacuum cleaners zip around, a kitchen robot works away, and a robot dog wanders curiously through the scene. Sometimes they help the artist, sometimes they turn everything upside down - and often they do something completely unexpected. While all this is happening, the performer begins a fascinating experiment: Where does the human end, and where does the machine begin? Inspired by the artist Carolee Schneemann, who tested the limits of her body a few years ago, the performer explores how far she herself can go.
Surrounded by luminous projections, powerful images, and futuristic ideas, a world emerges in which humans and robots increasingly merge. The performance demonstrates that boundaries are not only there to be observed - sometimes they are there to be reinvented.
